there are several steps you can take to improve your home brewing results, some of the first things we like to consider include
Water Quality- we always recommend using filtered water when making drinks, keep in mind minerals or dissolved solids can affect the taste of water which in turn affects the drink. We recommend using a water filter similar to Brita or Zerowater.
Ingredient Quality- we utilize relational sourcing to ensure our products are clean and quality, we encourage you to read labels on products and research the company making them and practices used
Proper storage of beans / ingredients- making sure containers are sealed and stored in a dry area with a moderate temperature
Paying attention to details in the coffee description- often times coffee beans will have recommended (brewing method, ratios, storage and peak bloom period) details included in their product description
Grinding - We recommend grinding beans as close to the time of brew as possible, this allows them to stay fresher longer. Additionally we recommend using a burr grinder to ensure consistency in grind size of beans
Regular cleaning and maintenance on equipment- dust, grime build up and old coffee grounds can affect your brew, be sure to regularly thoroughly clean your equipment -
