Each year, farmers harvest new crops of coffee. Each new crop can have subtle differences in taste and complexity from year to year depending on the weather, soil, and much more. This Vietnam coffee is a new crop of the beloved Vietnam we released last year!

In this rendition, we taste apple acidity and peach, with a butterscotch finish. This coffee has a smooth, medium body mouthfeel and may remind you of the wonderful Werther’s Original candies your uncle used to give you when your parents weren’t watching.  

We partnered with Mercon Specialty because we both loved the uniqueness of this Vietnam offering and valued its LIFT program that drives sustainable change in coffee-growing communities. Vietnam is the world’s largest producer of Robusta coffee, and they are not typically recognized for a high-quality bean, yet there is much to be excited about in purchasing this bag of Vietnam Lotus.

Vietnam Lotus is grown in year-round cool weather and is surrounded by volcanic soil in the Cau Dat region. Farmers in Vietnam do not process their own coffee, instead, delivering it to wet mills for processing; Mercon Specialty operates several wet mills throughout the Da Lat province and processed this coffee for export.
