Nyamasasa washing station is found in the Kalehe district of South Kivu in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Though small in size with just four full-time staff, Nyamasasa CWS plays a big role in its community, working with over 1,900 smallholder farmers who deliver their cherries to the station. Once there, it's processed with care into parchment before making its way to the Jumbo Safari dry mill in Goma. From there, it crosses into Rwanda and is exported by Gihanga Coffee.
