About the Coffee

Rio Brilhante has been run by Inácio Urban and his family since the 1980s. Fazenda Rio Brilhante sits within a micro-region called Pantano, which is located in the state of Minas Gerais. Pantano is known for its well-defined seasons, consistent seasonal rain, and overall favorable climate for coffee production. These conditions are ideal for producing natural processed coffees, which represent an average of 80% of the production of the farm. This frutado lot comes from the higher areas of the farm where they have focused on planting cultivars that show the greatest potential in the cup.
